The 1301 maintained the previous engine and mechanics and also the same stylistic approach of the 1300, but with a longer nose and tail to allow for greater load capacity, with longitudinal front engine and rear-wheel drive. On the front, there was a new grille, while on the tail, the previous circular spotlights gave way to two rectangular headlights with horizontal development.
